Critical Timing Alignment: On GM High Feature V6 engines (3.0L/3.6L), timing alignment must be executed using the proper dual-stage timing marks. Ensure the crankshaft and camshaft gears are indexed accurately to prevent catastrophic valve-to-piston contact.

Pre-Lubrication Required: Submerge the new timing chains in clean engine oil and prime the new oil pump before completing installation to prevent a dry start and premature friction wear.

Professional Installation Highly Recommended: Replacing an entire timing infrastructure demands specialized locking tools and deep engine tear-downs. Installation by a certified technician or advanced engine specialist is strongly advised.
